Life in Front School
Jessie
I enrolled on the interpretation course of Front School on the Internet. The first time I came to Front School. I saw some papers on the wall with some interesting signatures and leaving words. At that time, I thought the atmosphere of this school must be open and lively.
As for my interpretation course, a young lady teaches us the interpretation skill in the morning. In the afternoon, we join in the spoken English class, Simon's class, to practice our oral English. On the first school day, I felt a little worried and nervous. I thought that to translate a sentence into another language immediately, especially in oral, is a high good for me to get, I was not sure that whether I can get some useful know ledge here or not, whether I can do well in practicing or not, and whether I can get along with my classmates or not. However, after a week studying in school, I don't hesitate to say I love the study life in Front school and I am sure I will make great progress within one-month learning.
My interpretation teacher, Caron, is a gook-looking young lady. She is kindly, patient. She is always asking us to interpret sentences or phrases one by one. In that way. I can do more practice. She also has a lot of experience in interpretation. So I can learn a lit from her.
I have three classmates in the morning class. Because the class is quite small, we soon got to know and be friends with each other. They came from different cities, and they are all friendly. Sometimes we discussed the methods of learning English during the break, such as how to string then listening comprehension and so on. I can get some useful advice from their ideas, which I think are the good methods to make my English learning more effective.
In the afternoon class, I have another seventeen classmates. Some of them are very interesting. But I don't know all of them yet. My foreign teacher. Simon is a very interesting and exciting British man. He loves football very much, and he is always talking about it. The greatest character of him is maybe the talent of playing. When there was something interesting happened in our class, Simon would act in some way to show his feeling. Sometimes he cries, sometimes laughs, sometimes imitates what the students have done or said, and sometimes-just stares at you or does something incredible to show his going crazy. I would like to say that he has a sense of humor indeed. Every time he acted, we always couldn't help laughing.
Simon sometimes mentioned Mike and called him New Zealand Mike' for Mike is from Now Zealand. I had listened to Mike only once. In that day, our interpretation teacher cannot come to the class, so we joined in Mike's class. Mike is kindly, lovely, gentle and good temperature. He let us play various games in groups so that we had more opportunities to express our ideas. At the end of that class, Mike handed out a piece of paper with lyrics on it. And he taught us to sing the song.
That was such wonderful moment when we sang the song with the whole class together. Every day in Front school is an exciting day. Front school looks like a big family. Both teachers and personnel in here are all friendly and interesting.
Although the furniture and equipment in the school are simple, it doesn't hinder our English study. And I am sure I will enjoy all the study life in the school and learn lots from the teachers and other classmates.
